About me
My name is Starla. I live in northwest Ohio in a lovely house in the country. I have the joy of living with my fourth sister, Sierra. I am the eldest daughter of five girls. I love to cook. I am a balanced disciple of the Weston A. Price movement so I really enjoy fermenting drinks, veggies, dairy and fruit, making sourdough bread, and making meals from scratch. I love to antique and go junking, it is a true delight to find a treasure among all the trash. This habit feeds my love to decorate, and bring beauty to our home. I love to garden. I collect cookbooks because I am fascinated by the way food tells you the history of a country, and how you can make a meal, and go anywhere in the world right in your kitchen. I love to read, and I have a bit of an obsession for the classics. I love to be outside, go for long walks through the trails in the woods. I really enjoy going to the city to explore ethnic markets, and visit museums. I have made a discipline out of frugality, and it has served me well. It has helped me to appreciate all that God provides, and makes me aware of how blessed I am. In short, I love life!!!!

This blog is an extension of our hearts, to all of you, in the hopes that the lessons that we have learned along life’s journey, will help to inspire you. We realize that our place as women in society can be used to bless others and bring beauty to a world desperate for something real. True beauty heals and restores life. We hope to facilitate you, in some small way, a place for you to be encouraged to bring out all that is in you as woman, to be vulnerable through creativity in your home and in your everyday life.
