Naan Bread Pizza with Homemade Marinara

Everyone has days throughout the week that are just too full of activities to stop and cook anything. Here is a quick and easy recipe for Naan bread pizza with homemade marinara, which is a life saver for those busy weeknight meals! We could all use a few more time saving meal ideas, can’t we?! This one is fantastic, because it’s more about assembling ingredients than actually cooking. Don’t worry if you don’t have any Naan bread around, you can always use flour tortillas. If you are wondering what the heck is Naan, it is just India’s version of a flat bread. Even with this quick and convenient shortcut to pizza crust, you can jazz it up with this homemade, make-ahead pizza sauce. It tastes amazing and freezes really nicely.

Homemade Marinara Sauce 

1 28 ounce can whole tomatoes or diced tomatoes

2 small cans tomato paste or 1 large one

1 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. parsley

1 tsp. brown sugar

1/2 tsp. basil

1 tsp. black pepper

2 tsp. seasalt

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Blitz all ingredients for the marinara sauce together in a food processor. Taste it to see if it needs more salt or seasoning. Freeze half of it, and use the other half for two Naan bread pizzas. or four large flour tortillas.

To Assemble Naan Bread Pizza with Homemade Marinara:

First, heat your oven to 375 degrees.

Next, fry some hamburger or sausage, then chop up some veggies. You can skip the stove altogether and use ham (we use lunch meat) or pepperoni.

Meanwhile, grate up some mozzarella cheese, or simply use shredded.

Put parchment out on your baking sheet for easy clean up. Assemble your pizzas.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Super simple and really Delicious.
